Fall asleep to the sound of the tinkling fountain, wake to bird song and when the stills are working, smell the unique aroma of cognac on the breeze. Set in 2 and 1/2 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland and surrounded by vines, L' Ancienne Distillerie is an intimate holiday complex of 4 properties situated in a peaceful hamlet just outside Cognac.  Formed around a traditional Charentaise farmhouse, the accommodation has been created through the sympathetic conversion of the 150 year old buildings that made up the former cognac distillery.   

Whilst the buildings are original the interiors are far from rustic offering the highest standards of fixtures and fittings,  and comfortable soft furnishings whilst ensuring that the origin of the buildings is not lost with exposed stone walls and ancient beams.

On site we offer you everything you need to enjoy your stay in rural France including a large 13m by 6m pool, bicycles to explore the area, a games room and free Wifi.

The properties can be rented for stays of 3 days or more either individually or in any combination providing accommodation from 2 to 20 people at any one time. So if you are looking for cosy and romantic or the company of friends and family our adaptable site can work for you.  We also accept well behaved pets so all the family members can enjoy a holiday together.

A hideaway for 2 guests this property was formerly an old cognac storage barn.  It has a wonderful dual aspect with the pool on one side and direct access to the parkland and vines on the other.

Martell - perfect for families. Sleeps 4

A ground floor single level 2 bedroom property, this unique building was originally a series of old cognac storage vats and a well room. The front overlooks the central courtyard whilst at the rear there is a private terrace.

Hennessy - perfect for families. Sleeps 6

Formerly a cognac storage barn, this single level property offers a big open plan living featuring original beams and stonewall and 3 spacious bedrooms.

Remy Martin - perfect for friends and families. Sleeps 8

Formerly the building in which the grapes were pressed, this 2 storey property offers a very spacious open plan living area and 4 bedrooms on the first floor.
